ErgoLab Research was established in 2006 out of Wageningen University & Research Centre (Wageningen UR). ErgoLab Research aims to enlarge specialistic knowledge to improve physically demanding work in practice, and to help spreading this knowledge in a understandable way among the work force, decision makers and students. It is emphasized that research is of high quality and according to the newest insights. Measurements are done using high-quality and state-of-the-art equipment and according to scientific protocols. The quality of work is guaranteed further by more than 20 years of experience in fundamental research and in applied ergonomic research.
Of the same duration is the experience with knowledge transfer to policy-makers, employers, education and trainers.
The know-how of ErgoLab Research is applied broadly to the working population in the various diverging industries. The expertise of ErgoLab Research, in view of its roots, does not restrict to horticulture, agriculture, or animal farming, it also finds its application in such industrial sectors as transport, distribution and transhipment, contract work, building industry, forestry, public works and green area. Whereas the know-how can be applied easily to help producers of machinery or human-mediated production industry. Another example is to formulate client-specific advices in the decision of (often expensive) tools and machinery (in other words: does the product meet the expectation or health norm).
